What's On July 2010    Wednesday 7th July - Skegness 12:00am at Embassy Theatre      Saturday 3rd July - Somerby Home Farm House THE PRODUCTIVE GARDEN - HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF WHAT YOU HAVE GOT   Wicked Stepmother’s World operates from Home Farm nestled in the Lincolnshire Wolds. We run a few acres in a lovely old walled garden growing vegetables, fruit, vines for making wine, sheep, pigs and hens, guinea fowl and ducks. Courses, workshops, demonstrations and talks all reflect my interests and what excites me including living sustainably, cooking and gardening, keeping animals, traditional rural crafts and skills as well as the arts and crafts. The 2010 Programme follows the seasonal calendar. Additional workshops will be added to the programme over the year so keep up to date by joining Diary Updates a monthly diary of events, new workshops, information and special deals.    Saturday 3rd July to Sunday 4th July - Waddington RAF Station WADDINGTON AIR SHOW   Royal Air Force Station Waddington in Lincolnshire, the county that is considered by many to be the traditional heartland and spiritual home of the Royal Air Force, has been host since 1995 to the RAF's largest air show. The Elms Residential Home, Elm Drive, Louth, LN11 0DE    Wednesday 7th July - Skegness 7:30pm at Embassy Theatre PLAY IT AGAIN SAM  The Big Swing Band returns to the Embassy Theatre with a brand new show."Play It Again Sam" is an entertaining Evening of Great Music from the Movies    Thursday 8th July - Anderby at 7:30pm Village Hall THE GERIPATRICKS - IRISH EVENING   To raise funds for AWAG before the Village Hall closes for refurbishments, we have booked The Geripatricks for Thursday evening, 8th July, at 7.30pm. This will be a night of entertainment in the run-up to Scarecrow Weekend! Tickets will cost £4.00 to include nibbles for the table, (bring your own tipple), and we will hold a raffle during the evening to try to boost funds. The Geripatricks are a very lively Irish Folk Band, who have played at the hall before, and we had a great evening. The Museum on St.John Street, Wainfleet was built in the 15th century it's founder, William Patten later became Bishop of Winchester and Lord Chancellor of England. from 10am til 4.30pm, this imposing medieval building will relive the days of chivalry, as heavily armoured knights fight for glory, cooks prepare food to medieval recipes, while assistants grind corn for flour & the wise woman gives advice on various ailments. Come and look around numerous tents & see how how these medieval folk live while on campaign, try out some medieval games & toys or handle real weapons & armour! The Museum & Tea Room will be open and there will also be various stalls to browse.
