Wicked Stepmother’s World operates from Home Farm nestled in the Lincolnshire Wolds. We run a few acres in a lovely old walled garden growing vegetables, fruit, vines for making wine, sheep, pigs and hens, guinea fowl and ducks.

Courses, workshops, demonstrations and talks all reflect my interests and what excites me including living sustainably, cooking and gardening, keeping animals, traditional rural crafts and skills as well as the arts and crafts.

The 2010 Programme follows the seasonal calendar. Additional workshops will be added to the programme over the year so keep up to date by joining Diary Updates a monthly diary of events, new workshops, information and special deals.

Step back in time to World War Two, and join us as we sing songs, recreate war-time recipes and demonstrate make-do and mend activities. There will be plenty of activities and games to enjoy, whether young, old or in-between! Joining us will be local authors Jean Hill, Tom Ambridge and Christine Morley who will be available to talk about their books and sign them upon request. Also spending the day with us will be Paul and Linda Britchford from 'We'll Meet Again Collectables', and their fascinating military RB44 vehicle and a huge display of memorabilia. Jane Means has been a Gift Wrapping Expert for over 10 years and is always in demand with top stores.

She runs the training courses personally so you get tips first hand from the gift wrapping expert herself. On the Gift Wrapping course you will learn how to wrap every gift perfectly, whatever the shape, occasion or budget. It's a hands on workshop where you will wrap a variety of shapes (you take home most of your wrapped creations so remember to bring a large carrier bag in addition to any awkward shaped gifts you wish to tackle!)

On this action packed course you will use a variety of materials and will cover the wrapping basics, tackling bottles, circular items, awkward shapes, Japanese pleating, ribbon tying and bows. Ideal if you wish to improve your presentation skills or offer a retail service.

All levels are welcome on this informal course and Lunch, Materials and Handouts will be provided.

CAR BOOT FAIR AND SHOW AND SHINE CHERISHED CAR SHOW more information 

BLUEBELL FARM, Rectory Road, Anderby, will host a Car Boot Fair and Show and Shine Cherished Car Show on Saturday, 25th September in aid of the Anderby Windfarm Action Group. There will be lots of stalls, as well as a bbq, cake stall and refreshments, and weather permitting, pony rides will be available. The event will run from 9am-3.30pm and entrance will be 50p per car, or group on foot and access for car boot sellers will be 8am. Car Boot pitches can be booked at £5.00 per pitch by telephoning Julie on 01507 490224 or Sharon on 01507 490577. If you have a car that you are proud of and would like to be included in the "Cherished Car Show" for which there will be prizes for the best exhibits, please telephone either of the above numbers for further details.
